Held during Peace Week in November and Fair Trade Awareness weeks in May, Fair Trade sales provide an opportunity to support community-based cooperatives from developing countries. Gift items from the Cultures Boutique owed by the Fredericton YMCA and Just Us! Coffee Roasters Co-op are available for sale. All proceeds go towards our international activities and partnerships.

HONDURAN SOLIDARITY BLEND

A fair trade, organic, shade-grown coffee available year-round at the YMCA of Greater Moncton.
The YMCAs of the Atlantic Provinces and Just Us! Coffee Roasters Co-op are pleased to offer a special Honduran Solidarity Blend coffee. Proceeds from the sale of this coffee will be used to support the work of the YMCA of Honduras.

For this blend, Just Us! imports coffee from the Honduran Fair Trade Coffee cooperative, Café Organico Marcala. The cooperative provides a means for small producers to promote and market their products. There are 143 members in the cooperative, most of whom belong to the Lenca ethic group, the primary Native American community in Honduras.
